While it’s still all systems go for Evolve Consulting Engineers, these strange times living and working under lockdown give us an opportunity to reflect, not only on the many completed and ongoing projects under our belts, but also on the hard work and dedication of our team.

At evolve, we believe that people are the foundation of everything we do. One of our main aims is to inspire and develop great people who share our passion for engineering excellence.

Looking back over the last six months, we’re delighted that several of our young unchartered Project Engineers successfully achieved the Institution of Structural Engineers Certificate in Structural Behaviour. These engineers included Dan Curtis, Cristina Ionescu, Amy Leggett-Auld, Richard Colley and Jess Ritchie.

As part of our career development process, achieving the Certificate in Structural Behaviour is a key target and forms part of our IStructE Chartership programme into which all our graduates are enrolled.

Of course, it’s not just the engineers who are encouraged to progress and demonstrate their abilities within the industry. BIM Technicians Tony Evans and Steven Marlow have also been busy becoming Revit Structure Certified Professionals.

While achievements such as these are obviously beneficial in terms of individual professional advancement, there is also an advantage for evolve’s clients who can be confident that all members of our team are working to high standards with strong engineering and technical knowledge and skills. This is something we are all very proud of.
