We’re Hiring: Civil Engineer
Evolve is pleased to announce that, due to increasing workload, we are searching for exceptional engineers to come and join the team. In particular, we have a role for a civil engineer who can assist in expanding our civils capability and contribute valuable skills to the business.
Job Description: Civil Engineer
You will be part of a team that works in a professional manner, applying your skills effectively and competently. Our approach is one of working pro-actively and enthusiastically with colleagues both in evolve and from external organisations. You will adopt the ‘team-working’ ethic of the company.
With experience of paving and drainage design for standalone civils projects or those associated with development projects, you will be resourceful and confident in your abilities. The role will include site due diligence assessments, masterplanning, liaison with statutory authorities, detailed construction information and site works inspections.
Experience in delivering SuDs solutions, and competence with MicroDrainage and AutoCad is essential. Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, cut and fill analysis and the production of Flood Risk Assessments for all zones is desirable.
Other duties include:
- Liaise with the client, project manager, architect, local authority and other external agencies throughout the planning stage and produce Drainage Strategy and Flood Risk Assessment documents in order to obtain planning approval
- Liaise with CAD Operators where appropriate to enable them to prepare suitable drawings for the relevant stage of the project
- Attend training or technical seminars where considered beneficial
- Procure surveys where necessary under instruction from one of the Directors
- Monitor changes to Planning Guidelines and their impact on infra-structure design
