Jess graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in Architectural Engineering. As part of her master’s year project, she designed a community library which gave her the opportunity to explore a wide range of architectural and structural concepts in conjunction with integrated building services solutions. Her project won her the CIBSE Yorkshire Student Award, as well as the Muasher Prize for the most promising student in Architectural Engineering at the University of Leeds.
Jess originally joined evolve on a ‘Year in Industry’ placement and upon graduating, returned as a Project Engineer. During her time with us, Jess has explored the use of two different modelling and analysis software systems and is looking forward to furthering her knowledge whilst embarking on a path to gain IStructE Chartership.
Once a year, Jess volunteers as a carer for a charity called 3H Fund which provides fun-filled, week-long outdoor activity holidays for disabled teenagers and young adults.
Jess also enjoys travelling back to the family home in Norfolk. Here she appreciates the slower pace of life; going horse riding on the riverbanks, visiting the Norfolk coast or simply reading a good book!
