Andy Fuller-Lewis

Andy is a Chartered Engineer with over 18 years’ experience. He gained his degree at Oxford University and became chartered while working for Whitbybird in both London and Cambridge including a period seconded to Bovis Lend Lease to gain his site experience. He has had the benefit of having worked on a diverse range of projects across the Commercial, Higher Education, Schools, Residential and Government & Public sectors. He is passionate about delivering quality engineering designs and making the most of modern design methods to produce lean and efficient solutions.

Andy takes a proactive approach in his projects in order to explore opportunities for alternative solutions to the brief that add value. He understands the importance of considering buildability and construction sequence from the outset, and works hard to ensure that key risks are identified and managed appropriately. He enjoys working together with architects, contractors and clients to foster good team working, and he seeks to encourage innovation and sustainable design wherever possible.

Andy is keen on providing training and mentoring for younger engineers and has previously written training material to assist engineers in becoming chartered with the ICE and IStructE.

Andy is married with three children, and he enjoys fostering their creative abilities through Lego building! Andy is a keen singer and is in the tenor section of his local choir. He also enjoys cycling on his Brompton bike and exploring the countryside on foot.
