Ian Craig takes Managing Director role

His appointment marks the start of a milestone year for Evolve Consulting Engineers as the company celebrates 21 years in business.

As co-founder and director, Ian has helped steer Evolve through two decades of expansion and evolution from a two-person start up to a 30-strong team of structural and civil engineers, technicians and managers. He is now ready to lead the business forward for the next generation of clients and employees.

To achieve this, the business has undergone a complete revamp of its vision, mission and business strategy to map out a new path for future growth.  With this, Ian and his team have set out a clear plan for growth that builds on the reputation of Evolve as a trusted and innovative practice that delivers complex and challenging projects, such as the award-winning Borough Yards scheme near London Bridge.

“We have a strong history and proven track record for delivering complicated and challenging work,” said Ian. “Our refreshed vision and strategy puts us in the perfect position to build on this and become a genuine pioneer of positive change across the construction and property industry.”

Evolve sees existing and new collaborations and partnerships with structural and civil engineers, leading architects, commercial developers and industry leaders as key to this; with a particular focus on more sustainable and innovative engineering and construction solutions to build a better future for all.

Supporting Ian in his role as MD are fellow Evolve co-founder Neil Shiner and Martyn Perkins, who will both continue as directors, with a new director currently being recruited to complete the senior team.

“We have a great team who are dedicated and passionate about working with the best architects, engineers and visionaries in the industry to create exceptional places where people can thrive,” said Ian. “As part of this, we have worked incredibly hard to foster a culture where we collectively feel anything is possible."
